Astronics Mourns the Passing of Board Member John B. Drenning

Astronics Corporation (Nasdaq: ATRO), a leading provider of advanced
technologies for global aerospace, defense, and other mission critical
industries, announced today with great sorrow that John B. Drenning, a
member of its Board of Directors for nearly 50 years, passed away on
March 2, 2019 in Buffalo, NY.

Kevin T. Keane, Chairman of the Board, commented, “John was a very kind
friend and colleague, and we are deeply saddened by his passing. He was
an accomplished lawyer who brought wisdom, balance, humor and business
insight to the Board. His dedication, hard work, leadership and
compassion provided us wise counsel over many years. All who knew him
will miss him. On behalf of the Board of Directors and all the employees
of Astronics, I extend our deepest condolences to his family.”

Mr. Drenning enjoyed a long and distinguished legal career in Buffalo
and served as general and corporate securities counsel to several public
companies. He joined Astronics Board of Directors in 1970 soon after its
founding and prior to the Company’s initial public offering in 1972.
